This time I’m back to watercolours. So this painting is based on a photograph I took of an old lady while walking along in the Gay Pride in Dublin 2010. I was just taking photos of the day and all the colourful people that were taking part. So while coming up Dame Street I saw this old Dublin lady standing at the side of the road, just staring with her mouth open. I love her expression. A mixture of confusion, shock and bewilderment. So while walking along, she just happened to look into the camera at that split second I took the snap. Then I was gone along with the masses.
I named this piece after a recent viral video of a Dublin woman screaming to stop a fight. This will explain better of what I mean. So while painting this I couldn’t help but hear that womans voice in my head. Crazy I know.
